                                    July Friday Night at the Museum


On Friday, July 16, the Bollinger County Museum will host our First Annual Family Fun Night for all ages. Bring the whole family and enjoy a variety of games, a fossil dig, silent auction, scavenger hunt, a movie-"The Lightening Thief" Percy Jackson & the Olympians, and more. Have fossils you would like to know about? Be sure and bring those along. Mike Fix will be here to identify fossils for the public. The museum will be open form 6-8PM and the program is FREE.

June 21-25:  Dinosaurs       Grades 2nd-4th this fall
June 28-July 2: Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils        Grades 4-6
July 19-23: Weather          Grades 5-8
July 26-30: Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Etc.         Grades 7-9
August 2-6: Forests of Missouri           Grades 2-3

Pre-registration is required.
Class sizes limited - minimum of 5 students to have camps.

Camps will run from 1 to 4 PM  Monday-Friday

Cost:  $25.00 per child for each 5 day camp.

  our full-sized T-Rex skull that is a replica of STAN the most fully articulated skull found to date.  Original skull was found in South Dakota.  Come see why T- Rex was one of the most feared dinosaurs.

Calling all Teachers,

A trip to the museum makes a wonderful field trip while also meeting curriculum standards.  Talk with our tour educators about which standards you want to meet and we'll even arrange special programming if possible.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!   The museum is sponsoring a Trivia Night on August 14th.  Doors will open at 5 p.m. with a chili taste off and light refreshments.  Trivia starts at 6 p.m.  sign up a team of 5 - 6 at $10 per person.  For any questions, call 573-238-1174.
