Check out the "Cool" spot in Town.
He's back! Yes the full size T-Rex Model is back visiting the museum after his busy season on the road. This guy is big! Be sure you come by and visit while you have a chance, as he is only visiting for a limited time, thru March 2012. When they were alive, a full size adult T-Rex was approximately 18 feet tall and 39 feet long. Weighing in at over 13,000 pounds! See him soon before he's gone!
The Ice Age has arrived! You must see the great new Ice Age exhibits at the museum. Hurry down as they are only here for about 6 months. The replica skull of Dee, the largest mounted Columbian mammoth in North America, is back! Joining Dee is the replica of Dima, a baby Wooly mammoth, found in Siberia frozen in the tundra; Dima is one of the few complete mummified baby mammoth specimens ever found. In addition to the mammoths you will see a huge bison skull replica, giant ground sloth skull replica, saber tooth tiger skull replica, and a dire wolf skull replica. Also see many fossils in our exhibits of Ice Age Man in North America, North Sea Fossils, Ice Age Plants from Missouri, and the The Ice Age and its Megafauna.
Our museum is a perfect afternoon adventure for young and old alike. Don't miss the Civil War exhibit, Crystal Radios, Native Pottery and other artifacts in addition to the wonderful dinosaur and natural history items alike. The bronze T-Rex skull replica is back. Come and get up close and touch this huge skull. Take a peek!
